| On Thursday afternoons from Christmas until
Easter, the pupils have 'Handwork'at St Andrews. Members of the community
come in to help the children learn how to knit and sew. the children
love having people in to help them and it helps also for the school
to establish links with members of the local community. The children
really look forward to this activity and by Easter most of them have
made something, for example a knitted purse, to take home to their families.
