Badminton

The Badminton club practice on Tuesday lunch times and is for Primary 5 pupils upwards. See Mrs Bonner for more details.

Band Practice

We are lucky to have our own band at St Andrews! Pupils play for us at assemblies and at school concerts and plays. They are very good and the tunes that they learn are passed down to new band members so the band is always changing from year to year as new pupils join and the bigger pupils head off to the KGS.

The Band practice every Wednesday lunchtime with

Mrs Holt.

Back

We have all kinds of activities happening within our school which the pupils can get involved in. Some take place within the school day and others are 'after school' activities like football and netball for example. Here are some of the things that we do at St Andrews.

Rainbows

On Thursdays after school, the Rainbows meet in the music room! Here the younger pupils from P1 and P2 can do a range of activities from making   cards to going out on nature walks. They all have a great time and take great pride in displaying the badges that they have earned upon their colourful tops.

Netball Practice

The netball teams also practice on Thursday tea times after school in the school hall. Miss Scott and Miss Campbell coach the teams. The teams then compete in the Primary League Netball in Orkney.

Craft Club

The Craft Club meets every Tuesday after schoolat 3-45pm. they make all

kinds of exciting things. When I took these photos, they were busy making

treasure chests from old cereal packets! It's run by Miss Scott and Mrs Kirkness.

Bird Watching Club

The Bird Watching Club is run by two Primary 7 boys. Pupils can go with them down to the bird hide at the bottom of the pitch at break and lunch times to see if they can spot any interesting wildlife. If any pupils are interested in joining this exciting new club then they can find out more by asking the P7 teacher Mr McIntosh.
